TMZ reports Chris Brown has been picked up by the US Marshals to begin his trek back to Washington, DC to stand trial for an alleged DC assault that reportedly took place in 2013.
Brown’s attorney tried his very best to keep Chris from having to travel shackled and bound like a…well…prisoner. But the court didn’t feel that Breezy should be getting any preferential treatment. So, he is allegedly on his way to a federal holding facility in San Bernardino to begin his long trip to Washington D.C..
TMZ reports that later today Chris will board an airplane where he will be guarded by U.S. Marshals and “appropriately restrained” but that isn’t even the shocking part! The wild part is…the flight is NOT a non-stop flight to D.C.. TMZ has learned that there are so many stops on this trip that Chris will probably not get there until Sunday.
These flights reportedly stop all along the way to pick up other prisoners. Doh!
Chris will be in D.C. for a hearing Monday where his lawyer, Mark Geragos, will try to get the charges dismissed because he believes prosecutors inappropriately used the grand jury to gain an unfair advantage in the criminal case.
If Geragos loses though Chris will be forced to sit in a D.C. jail facility until his trial kicks off on April 17.
